    hi all

i have just noticed brown spots appearing on the end of the usb cable (the end that goes into the computer - sorry total novice :p)

the cable is for an external hdd that is plugged in every so often

anybody else seen this strange phenomenon

so far only on the outside of the metal part

    will it affect performance ?

    regards brian

Could be a burn mark as there is a current going to the USB when plugged in, nothing to worry about providing it doesn't get worse.
