    Hi all

Looking for advice on where and if it is worthwhile getting clubs regripped? Got an old set from a friend as I start to venture into golf (got my first birdie yesterday :D ). Had a couple of clubs missing which I have since got second hand and they have shown up the old set as having bad grips. So I inspected them and sure enough he rubber is hard and cracked and basically destroying my wee sensitive hands. So I am wondering whether it is worthwhile to get them re gripped (only talking about a 5,6 and 9 club) and where in cork could do this, what price would I be looking to pay?

    Thanks

If you like the clubs and want to hang on to them for a while then it's definitely worth regripping. Any proshop and most of the large golf stores will offer this service. Price would depend on what grips you want. Alternatively you could do it yourself. Just buy the grips and some double sided tape. There's a video on the golf pride site: http://www.golfpride.com/Tips/RegrippingTips.aspx and I'd recommend reading up a bit on the dos and don'ts but it's simple enough.

    Congrats on the first birdie!

Any decent pro shop in a most clubs should do it
Or Nevada bobs ballincollig do too
Price depends on grip you choose
    approx €10-13
deals generally available if you get a full set done

Picked up Golf pride grips from this crowd and did them myself, after the wife removed the old tape..;) the most time consuming part was getting the backing off the new stuff. Regripping overall is fairly simple.
