This horse has won 5 Group 1s in 8 starts, I have to admit that while I know he's an excellent horse he just never seemed to be THAT good. I know he hacked up in Newmarket last year but when he lost he lost bad! Seemed hard to get right with trying the mile, the supposed ground reliance etc. I am writing this as an epitaph to the horse because when you say to yourself "5 Group 1s in 9 starts" and "beat Goldikova fair and square" you have to acknowledge hes an excellent horse. He'll retire this year though may have another run before then. I don't think we really got to focus on him with Frankel, So You Think and even Wooton Bassett. Top horse.

Any horse that could win a Top 2yo GP1 race by 9 lengths and come back to win 3 GP1s as a 3yo is a serious horse. He should be sent to run in the breeders cup mile, it's a race that sometimes suits a sprinter miler. He seems to still be fresh and on a great run of form.

It's a pity he won't be in training as a 4yr old. Think he was overdone last year when the much hyped battle in the Dewhurst never materialized with Frankel. A very underrated horse and to come back and win 3 G 1's this year shows that maybe he was worth his rating last year but his inability to see out a mile will forever be against him when the comparison with Frankel comes around despite the fact he so far has more Group 1 wins than Frankel!! Hope they run him once more in the Breeders Cup but i have my doubts. Also it's good to see a small trainer like David Simcock get the chance to train a horse like this.

I never under rated him. Backed him ante post for the Guineas and I said to myself he was the best sprinter I'd ever seen when he won the sprint cup, backed him that day too

He's been retired. Will stand at Ballylinch stud and will shuttle to Australia.

Limited to 130 mares this year at 17.5k a pop.
