    Hi folks,
Any recommendations for good powered stage monitors. I have 900 (only) to spend and would be hoping to get 2 fairly decent monitors. I just bought 4 'the box' 15" wedges, but they are goin back cos they are ****e! Was lookin at db amongst others...
    Any suggestions??

    Thanks

Just helped a local venue choose these as part of their in-house PA:

    DB TECHNOLOGIES OPERA M12-4 PLUS
    dB Technologies Opera M12-4 Plus bi-amp active monitor speaker, 250+50W/RMS, 600W (programme), 126dB max, 2"/1", 90º/70º adjustable horn, 68-19.000Hz, 3x M10 flying points, pole mount, XLR/jack input, XLR thru, contour leveller. Dimensions: 400 x 387 x 525mm. Weight: 18.4kg

Tried them on a gig a few nights ago & they sound really nice. The run around E470 each.

I bought 2 of "the box" 300 watt power monitors for my last band. never liked them! we were only putting vox and some acoustic guitar through them. They gave so much feedback and weighed a ton!

I have used a pair EV ZX-5's. great monitors, my current band are using them as tops!

What are you going to be putting through the monitors, if its only vox you would get away with a 12" speaker

Sonas, was lookin at those exact monitors. They seem to be getting good reviews generally. Might take the plunge.

Was hoping to run Bass, Guitars, Keys, Fiddles, Vox etc through them, everything apart from drums. Wondering how a 12" would handle that?
Ideally I would go for 15", but budget won't allow that!! ;(

    Thanks for your replies!!

get a 15" if you can if your putting that much through. the low end from the keys and bass may be tough on a 12"
