Im thinking of buying an 06 l200 that needs a head gasket,
Would i be able to fit a 2.8 litre engine in it and get rid of the 2.5?
And how much would it be worth to sell?

The 2.8 gear box is different to the 2.5 so it wouldnt be a straight engine swap. Also be careful head gaskets on 2.5 can more often than not turn into a cracked head. New ones are not cheap nor are second hand engines. Dont know about value. Handle with care.

Stay the hell away. It doesn't need a gasket it'll need a new head too and possible cracked block.

Unless you are going fitting a whole new engine from milners, pass on it.

It is only the head gasket,have it stripped its my mates he has a few,how much are l200s worth if i bought the few that need head gaskets?

Old shape 6500 basic spec. 8500 animal/warrior depends on mileage, body marks.

New shape +3000

Guessing theres around about 60k on the engine?



Heres what happened mine after 120k had it since 80k oil changed every 5000 miles.
