Writing Lyrics

I like to write lyrics. I have loads and I try to do some of my own recordings and i've tried putting together an album but it never sounds good enough to be in the public domain however, the lyrics themselves, I feel are very good.

I have a feeling that if a famous act, ever read my lyrics, they would love to use them.

Since recording isn't going well for me, I would love to put the lyrics out there and maybe sell them.

I am aware that there are many irish lyricists who sell songs to massive acts like beyonce, leona lewis and the likes.

Anyone know anything about this or should I just put the lyrics away to gather dust?

Put them away, then burn them.

Get a list of Irish publishing companies from IMRO/Hotpress Yearbook. Copyright your lyrics and then send them to the appropriate publishers. If they're usable it's a very nice gig to have. However, if you were able to write the music too the reward is huge. Its likely you'll get no response.

The alternative is to advertise on the bands/musicians forum and offer yourself as a lyricist to bands. You'll earn nothing but your lyrics would get an airing
