    ok so..

    i've never signed on before for job seekers allowance but have to do it cos im unemployed for the last 5 weeks and needs monies !

    thing is i got the forms and all and im 19 (20 in october) and living with the parent

    but they want from me is

    bank statements from the last 4 months ? why ?

    and also my dads wage slips for a few weeks ?

    i dont get these why do they want them.....

    the situation is easy enough like. I've being employed for the last 2 years straight and im unemployed now and just need to get by... why do they need this crap ?

    Your living at home so your probably going to be means tested, if your dad can afford to support your they'll take that into consideration, they want to see the bank statements to make sure you don't have the money to support yourself.

    Remember a mate of mine was getting €11 euro a week because he was living at home and his parents were ok financially.

    You might be better off take any job that's going, your going to get very little from the social welfare.

    what if i was renting a room somewhere.. not living at home type thing ?

    would that change everything again ?

    and yeah no worries there ... applying for every job i see... on a waiting list for a fas course to get a psa license and already booked my spsv test too.... so im not a waster !

    Well you are living at home with a parent. Are you trying to get around the system and say your not living at home now. I know you have been employed for the last 2 years but unfortunately its 2009 contributions that are taken into account for jobseekers benefit for 2011.
