    is dropbox a good solution for holding documents if you're on the move between different locations


    is it fairly secure? thanks

    It's fairly secure as storing your stuff online is. I wouldn't store extremely private stuff on it but that's just me. Personally I prefer sugarsync as it's a bit more flexible. But it too is as secure as dropbox

    I use Dropbox for personal and business stuff, with 50gb storage. I access it from my desktop and laptop PCs, my iPad and my Android phone.

    I think it's excellent. Does the job extremely well for me, and I don't have the time to spend investigating alternative solutions that may or may not have marginal benefits.

    it can be awful because if some one deletes something then it's gone for good. SO back up any public folder

    The way I use it is I put a file in the public folder and send the URL to the people I want to access it.

    No danger of them deleting anything.
