Proxy trouble

Hey all, Have this xperia x10 for about a month now, and love it. Ihave a few gripes with it though, a big one is the lack of proxy. In an enterprise situation where I work I have to pass traffic through one. Can I do this without going to he hassle of rooting it? TIA, LB
