    Hi,
A person I know and two friends have been threatened repeatedly for over a year by another person who seems to be seriously deranged. Most of the threats are done by email or text. One might dismiss them as harmless until you see the details, but this nut has on occasion threatened to kill or seriously injure either or all of the parties. There are hundreds of messages and a lot of emails.

The police have been involved but have been unable to do much.
What kind of pressure can a citizen bring to bear on the police to take decisive effective action against this individual. What type of solicitor or barrister do they need to employ to resolve this issue. Do they need to contact the citizens advice bureau or some other such body to formulate a strategy to deal with this intimidation and harrasment.

Any solicitor (not barrister) should be able to do this, although one versed in the technology and behaviour would be more sueful
