    Thanks lads, it was under debate today. I was sure it was november,but one of the boys showed us a couple of websites listing it as october.

    That's what's called wishful thinking & creative googling :D
    Are these new shooters because for things like ducks, pheasant & to me the king of birds the woodcock to not know their season is criminal. :eek:

    Would give grace on greylags curlew etc

    I agree totally. Two guys, first guns, first season! I showed them the list on this forum to prove my point but one of them found some site called irish country sports or something like that.

    you'd do feirce well to find woodcock in good numbers in october its late november before i see good numbers in my area
