no, I have it on my PC Windows 7 and I have not had a problem with Chrome. A little while ago I could not launch anything that Chrome downloaded ~ so maybe that was some of the trouble, but a reinstall and all's well again.

Ironically Chrome is spyware though :P Maybe not the malicious kind but still :P. Anyways is the chrome.exe qualrentined? And restoreable? If not set an exception to the chrome directory in MSE (users AppData directory from memory) and reinstall Chrome...

It has not been deleted on my PC. I've searched and only see a handful of problems with MSE deleting a virus which Chrome had downloaded.

Microsoft admitted its a false possitive, also to OP, updating to the latest definitions, reinstalling Chrome should fix it-nothing will be lost!
