Three points tonight for the Reds would pretty much see us wrap up the division. Gonna be a tough game though. Hopefully Mong U don't kick us off the park like on their last visit to Tolka.

Tough game for the Blades tonight who we also play at the start of next week in the Cup. Should be a straight forward three pointrs for Cork FORAS tonight, but massive game between them and Mong U next week. :pac:

Massive game for us tonight, Mc Faul and Bradley in the middle if we want the win, Mulcahy for the draw.

Mahon offered new deal too (please sign it :D )

Derry lose and we win 12-0 and we top :D

Fully counting on Shels to knock back Mons tonight. Just hope we dont fudge it up and draw with Harps. It has that kind of a game about it.

    Hopefully!

As for Shels, huge match tonight and I'm disgusted I'm missing it, absolutely gutted! I'll take a draw, but a win would be fecking fantastic.

    Hopefully!

Matthews thing is a load of arse.

No fun any more for Dundalk. Season over at this stage. Dundalk missing a load of players tonight so I'd fancy UCD to get something from this game tonight

But surely they will want to ensure they finish above Bray and secure the 20 quid available in extra prize money.

Think I'm going to head to Mervue vs Limerick tonight. If the rain isn't too bad.

    Then off to Shhhligo tomorrow.

    Dear Shelbourne FC,

Please kick the snot out of Monaghan tonight in something of a bloodbath with a few niggles causing a few short term injuries to their players (2/3 weeks worth, nothing serious) and bait a few of them into getting red cards.

    Kindly,
    gimmick

Good chance our game with Harps will be postponed this evening. Absolutely pissing down since about 5 yesterday and is only getting heavier this afternoon. Not ideal...

Red FM saying game was given go ahead after pitch inspection.

Constant raining for the last hour now.

Huge game on Sunday to get going after the high. Cooke has Drogheda in a fine state, probably better than Bohs, UCD, Dundalk and Bray, tough prospect.

Re: the title, I find a good Thursday night is not to be dismissed:pac:

Some weekend for the Reds. Hope everything goes well tonight and sets us up for a demolition of the slashers Monday night.

    Come on Funn Herps!

    Dream on.

    Promotion is in the bag.

We'll be taking it easy with Monday's big cup game ahead of us.

Pitch inspection was done before 1pm. rain got a lot heavier since then. Though it has stopped in the last 15 minutes. The ref is going to do another around 5ish. Id be shocked if it is postponed tbh. We have played in far worse conditions. Remeber the Derry semi final in 2005?

I'd be more concerned with Setanta cup spot, and slight chance of Europe if Derry are banned and Bohs can't take part for some reason.

I still think we'll pick up more points than Bray until the end of the season no matter how badly we are playing

    I do.

Remember FAI allowing some micky mouse game played on the pitch the night before as well making the pitch worse.

Rain looks to have stopped now.

Is it the wrong price? I don't follow LOI that much but are Dundalk not in horrible form? How were they odds on and UCD such a big price?

2-0 UCD at half time anyway.

    Shels 1-2 Mons

Spoiling both Shels and Cork...come on Mons..

    Monaghan beat Shels again.

Shels can't seem to do it against the 3 big teams in the division.

Very easy win for City who played some good stuff especially 1st half.

Derek O'Brien and Davin went off injured which is a worry for Monaghan game on Tuesday.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,314 ✭✭✭BOHtox

Richie Winters is the worst referee I've ever seen.

What a **** game, Bohs bossed the 1st half we bossed the 2nd. 5 shots maybe?? in the whole match.

Winters well as usual the whistle goes and both sets of fans honestly have no idea which way its going to. Mostly against Bohs tonight.

Felt sorry for them after 30 minutes of that :D

**** game highlight was Winters random whistle.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,950 ✭✭✭Pinturicchio

Limerick really didn't look that good tonight. I have slightly more hope for the play off now.

Bohs goal wasnt offside, i was right in line with and if the defender is further ahead then the attacker well.........

Didn't think it was at the time but it was hard to tell from the other side of the ground.

Fixtures will be the death of us. Hope the players can pick themselves up from London for what will be another three game week.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 21,296 ✭✭✭✭gimmick

Division 1 is crazy at the top. Looks like it could easily go down to the last game with no one yet promoted. It is quite possible all 4 could go in with the possibility of winning it and of finishing 4th. Unreal.

Easy win against a shoite Harps side last night. One of them maimed Derek O Brien with one of the worst challenges I ever seen. Looks like he is out for the season.

Tuesdays match against Monaghan is huge. 3 points for us and the proverbial cat is well and truly among those pesky pigeons. Our goal difference is worth an extra point as well now that it is so close.

Shels are still going up. Fully confident of that. A win in Waterford next week and it's nearly a cert tbh with Harps at home and Salthill away after that. Pity we've had to make a bollocks of it once again.

Downes was sliced from behind and he gave nothing. Pender tackled Forrester knee high and ref gave a throw.
He then booked Bohs players for absolutely nothing. We scored a perfectly legitimate goal and was disallowed for offside despite there being a defender on the line trying to clear the ball
You had to be there to believe it

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,761 ✭✭✭AgileMyth

We'll be looking to move three points clear at the top tonight, albeit with two extra games played. Can't see us not beating Galway at home.

Its getting tight at the top now! Exciting times...

99 goals, surely that's getting to record standards. Galway setting records for all the wrong reasons. :(

we could have scored alot more.. instead we just messed around, the ref even gave them pitty giving them every 50/50 ball. are u-19s team would beat them no problem and most of them are 16
