Doesn't have the same appeal as the Touchpad surely, even if they were selling for €99?

Only a 7" screen and you can't even use it for emails if you don't have it paired with a Blackberry phone...

I had a play with one in pcworld there over the weekend. And i really can't understand the appeal of a 7" screen. It's too big to put in your pocket, and yet the screen is just that bit too small to use comfortably. It just doesn't make sense imo.

My phone is my internet device that goes everywhere with me. Not ideal to use, but it still renders pages perfectly. My HP touchpad is what i bring if i've got a bag with me.

But still, if it's cheap enough it'll be worth it!

Think resolution on Playbook is same or similar to touchbad - 1024/768 or thereabouts. Am happy to have smaller screen if they can get higher resolution as you are seeing same amount of data then but just in smaller screen... if you get me:confused:

I understand too that same factory is making the Amazon Fire as makes Playbook.. I read Amazon went to them and asked for advice on how to design it and "It just so happened" they had a design in mind for a 7" tablet... and we happen to have lots of parts in stock that ain't being used.

I would snap up Playbook for €99... that's if I could get in ahead of ye lot:D. Being a 10 year user of Blackberry I am somewhat biased too.

There's been talk about this being reduced in firesale for a while now (Roughly 3 weeks).. Was beginning to wonder if it's ever gonna happen..
Although, while i was looking (Constantly each day), There's a few more that are supposed to be dramatically reduced in price too..

Motorola apparently got hit hard with lack of sales.. As did many others.. I'd be willing to wait it out on all of them, and see how low they go if they're all forced to reduce their prices..

Creative Ziio Expected to go below €150 before christmas, for the 16GB version, so don't know where that would leave the 8GB version (Which is selling at €113 at the minute).

Lenovo LePAd Already reduced their prices and it's not released over here yet. (But can be bought for €147 With Free Shipping)

I wonder how many will have had their prices reduced under €100 after Christmas..

China Most likely. I had put a link, then removed it, because i hadn't linked to any of the others, and couldn't find where i read them, and didn't feel like searching more for them...

    The Lenovo LePad version is
    Software

    • OS: Android 2.3
    • Processor: TI OMAP 3622, 1000 MHz
    • Memory: 512 MB RAM

    Memory

    • Memory Expansion: Slot Type: microSD, SD
    • Built-in: 2 GB

The 2GB i hadn't noticed, and would explain the price drop already (From €200), but still, they are all coming down.. Not just the BB RIM..
