    I found some 1960's Irish pints...literally under the floorboards...not a lot 50 pounds.

    Is that currency still valid or is it merely decoration now!

    You can exchange them in the central bank for €63.49.

    The notes/coins would attract more as collectors items.

    Ya..only notes 9 fivers between 1962 - 1964 and 1 pound note..

    Back in the day they were put there my grandfather earned 8 pound per week as a train driver...and that was considered a very good paying job in those daya...that's the eqv of us now putting over 4000 euro under the carpet!
