Plumbing Question

    Hi All

We built a house 3-4 years ago and we have OFCH and a multi fuel stove with a back boiler for the open plan living space down stairs. Our plumber was a bit of a nightmare to say the least and his apprentice actually ended up doing most of the finishing work on the house.

Our problem is the whole system has never really been right - the back boiler on the stove has never worked and the hot water only feature on the ofch doesn't work either.

I would love to get a plumber in to have a look at the whole system and see what the problem is. What I need to know is - Is it cheeky to ask someone in to do this as I would need them to give me a quote on what needs done before any work would commence - I would of course pay them to come and do the estimate. Secondly does anyone know any decent RELIABLE plumbers in the West Galway area that they could recommend to me? You can pm me if recommendations are in breach of the advertising rules for this thread.

We seem to have all the necessary pumps & thermostats fitted for the system problem is we have lots of switches etc that we do not rightly know what they are for!!

Any advice would be greatfully received.

You need to speak to a plumber who is willing to correct other peoples problems this can be difficult. Or else you could drop into your local plumbers providers and ask someone who is experienced to come out and look at it.

Once you know what to do then you can get it done in stages or if you like the plumber get it all done together.

Where are you living(not your exact address)

2 things I would suggest is post some pics and ask for pm`s from plumbers in your area.
