I may have to commute via train to town to work soon and was thinking of locking my bike near the train station at arrival and cyling to the workplace from their but thiswould require me leaving the bike locked somehwere in town near Tara or Connolly station. Are there any secure places to lock and leave it overnight or is this madness?

'tis fairly risky alright. Lots of bikes get robbed from round there. You could ask the guys in the car park near the hotel if there is a space to leave the bike overnight? Barter a bottle of whiskey, ya never know!

I'm not sure if its still there, but there used to be a lock up for bikes at Conolly station

Outside Pearse Street Garda station. Make sure your bike doesn't look attractive.

Lock both wheels and the frame to the stand. Remove anything that is removaable.

    It will be Rathmines

Dublin Bus 128 stops at both Connolly and Tara Street and goes to Rathmines; that's you pretty much door to door. If you are commuting within the Dublin area, consider a Bus/Rail annual or monthly ticket

Dammit - after just _thinking_ about stolen bikes and taking part in this thread... what happens to me..... yes the f3ckers stole mine!

You might snigger and say no way posting on this thread had anything to do with my bike being stolen, but poetically enough 'karma' here on boards built the bike for me, and the frame was a karma!
