Medication in Luggage

    Hi,

    I was wondering if someone can help - I am flying to Barcelona next week and am travelling for the first time since I have been put on long term medication in the form of tablets. From what I know, we will be just taking hand luggage - can I bring the tablets on board or do I need a doctors note etc?

    Bring them in your hand luggage is perfectly normal. You only need a doctors letter for stuff such as needles, etc. such as a diabetic. and even then not always.

    I have used long-term medication for years, and always take it in my hand baggage. Never a problem; not even a question.

    As said just take it in your carry on and you'll be grand, certain countries have restrictions on stuff like valium and opiate based medications (eg. codeine) however not in Spain and throughout the EU as far as I know. Just further flung places like Singapore and Saudi Arabia are two such countries that have restrictions as far as I know.
