Haven't tried the t17. I used the p17 but thought it was too big when the smaller units have the same power. I got a new model during the week- the m14 and very impressed with it. More powerful than the p14 and more compact. I'll be using this as a scanner in future. Still think the m7r is the best led lenser out there though.

To poulo its not-takes 4xAA batteries. the M range is has a micro processor which gives more power and different settings like dimmer control and various strobe and flash settings. i believe early next year there should be rechargable ones available. for any other led lenser fans theres a rechargable x21 coming out in november with 50% more power apparently-you wont need a gun:D
