Best Hard Disk Drives

Hi all,
I want to back up my photos on an extrnal Hard Disk Drive. The Western Digital brand is really good value against the likes of iOmega, Seagate, etc - half the price in fact. Has anybody had any hassle with the Western Digital brand and is the low price a reflection of quality? Want to buy a decent HDD (1 TB max), but don't want to be ripped off either if there is no difference in quality between brands. Thanks guys

Western digital are good. My Iomega drive has a Western Digital driver under the hood fwiw. Samsung are also good, although not sure if they do externals (the drives are used in many alrite but not sure which ones).
Seagate are ok, but I think they had some quality control issues regarding their drives in the last while, Go for the Iomega or WD one
