I keep pretty detailed records on my betting. Can anyone share any information they may have on what their longest losing streak was.

I've bet on some long odds on favourites recently and cant even get these right. 1\6 1\5 and 1\7 losers appearing almost as frequently as winners.

    Is it just me?

I very rarely bet on anything smaller than evens. Its too risky and its pointless putting a 1/7 team in an acca.

Thats probably very true but if you cant get winners there is it time to give up

To be honest, there are too many variables when it comes to matches. I prefer to try and pick goalscorers etc rather than teams winning. As a rule, i never ever back Liverpool, Arsenal or Man Utd(apart from betting in running when they go behind)

It's time to define your betting bank, decide on an appropriate betting bank and stick to it. Betting on short odds on shots is an awful strategy.

Started a log about 6 weeks ago. First 3 weeks I was up ~€200. I am currently on a losing streak of 14 bets which has seen most of my profit disintegrate. I really go through spells of luck even though I don't change anything, still betting mostly on singles still have a limited max bet on accums and horses etc, still thoroughly researching my bets but still can't pick anything.

What your looking for is standard deviation.

unless you know how to price up a bet you will be placing some bad bets which have huge consequences as the edges are small.
