    Hi all,

can ask you all for a favour? I had my car stolen last night with my clubs in the boot, I doubt it will happen but can you keep an eye out for any second hand clubs up for sale a odd prices, ebay adverts etc.

The irons are Callaway Diablo forged and are custom fit at 1 degree upright.

Driver is Callaway Diablo 9 degree. 5 wood, 3wood and 18 degree rescue are Cobra (5 wood has a lion head cover, a fathers day pressie from my little girl)

2 wedges, vokey 58 and a tour edge bazooka 52.

    Putter is Oddessy Sabertooth

    Also a Skycaddie SG4

    Heres hoping !!!

    J

They will also be covered under the Contents Policy in your Home Insurance - Best of luck!

That might not be the case, it depends on the policy. Good luck OP, you never know, you might be covered a couple of times and actually cover the cost of replacement, the same thing happened to me and I got a little shafted on the amount they offered.

Sorry to hear it John, something similar happened to me earlier this year but it included a college thesis and backups to make things worse. It's like losing both hands!

Post a pic of your car on Motors also. Let's hope something good comes of this.

I am a member in Portmarnock Links and Roganstown, Portmatnock Links dont include golfsure and i rented out my membership in Roganstown this year.

I am checking on the all risks cover at the moment.

Anything would be a help, but i would really love them back, best combination of clubs i have had in years and was playing really well with them.

Yeh, 1st time it has happened to me and its not a nice feeling, I am just glad they did not get into the house. BTW David, my 4 ball voucher I won from our 1st boards outing was in the car, so if some sham in a hoody turns up for a game in a blue 520 with Diablo Irons and a voucher sit on him and i will send the boys down to TALK to him.

That's interesting. I'll void it on our system and keep a close eye on any comp voucher bookings that come through. Give me a PM when you're back kitted out and we'll get you out for a fourball.

Sorry to hear that Golfgrafix, indeed you were playing well with them!!

Not too sure about the ins and outs of the insurance side of things but if I see anything I'll pass it on to you and the Garda.
A 520 and the bats, sickening! I know it's an old cliche-at least no-one was hurt.

I'v a buddy that buys and sells a bit of gear at the boot sales so I will have him on the lookout too. Real disaster of a thing to happen.

The car never showed up but at least the insurance company finally coughed up today, settled for the car but due to a silly mistake on my end the clubs were not covered on the house policy. I changed providers a few months ago and never ticked the all risks cover.

€1500 to replace all the clubs, i have to say that the guys in Halfpenny Golf in Swords were great, not only were they $300 cheaper than Mc Guirks they gave me a good 45 mins on the range with their pro. I had most of my figures from my last fitting with Callaway so we just spent time seeing if they were still applicable.

    Ended up getting
    • Irons - Mizuno JPX800, precicion shafts & 1 degree upright
    • Wedges - Mizuno MPR-12, 60 and 52 degree, med bounce
    • Putter - Odessy Sabertooth, 34" 1 degree flat
    • Driver - Callaway Razr Hawk, stiff with the neutral head
    • Fwy Woods - Cobra S3 5 & 3
    • Hybrid - Cobra baffler 16 degree
Cant wait to get them and get out an play, shame the weather is starting to turn. Then agin once the missus finds out how much i have spent i may not ever get to play again !!!

Other than the putter these are all a first for me, anyone have any experience with these clubs?

Got the JPX 800 this year.

Unreal good, nice strike, great bit of forgiveness (you can tell the missus).

They go very far, think the loft is not the same as a standard loft. Or they are just that good, I'm hitting 1 club less with them.

I sometimes kiss them with the joy. Don't tell the missus. :o
