I have a small hole in one of my teeth that I've been meaning to go to the dentist about for ages (I'm scared stiff of them!) I've decided to go when I get paid as the tooth is gone slightly black and is sore when I bite down on it so it really badly needs treatment. Last night I was eating popcorn and I accidently bit right down on my bad tooth which was agonizing. All last night I had a horrible throbbing pain in my tooth that kept me awake. I looked at it this morning and it looks like theres a small bit of popcorn stuck in the small hole that's in my tooth. It must be what's causing the pain because even though it's been sore for a while it's never been that sore. I tried to get the food out with my toothbrush but it was very sore and it just ended up going further in. If I leave it alone will it work it's way out on it's own? I've taken painkillers and have rubbed anbesol all around my gums. Still havn't got much relieve and I can't afford to go to the dentist at the moment. Would love some advice on how to get some relieve as I'm wrecked :(

Christ, go see a dentist and just get a bill and pay them back over time. You need to really address things like this before you get a serious infection.

Do all dentists allow you to do that? I'm a student so that's why I was putting it off!

I had a load of work done and my dentist did. Just ring ahead and ask.

Dentists hate when people do this, first time attenders are the worst for giving false details and heading off without paying the bill...
Would you go to dinner in a resturaunt and tell them to bill you after you've had your steak??

OP, bring a credit card or a friend/family members credit card and pay them back later.....

    Good luck,
    OS

Thanks, I think there's somewhere where I go to college that has free consultations for students so I'll do that first and figure it out from there!
