I like Ryan Moore for this, but don't really like the price. Will leave it for now as he could trade at bigger after the first round.

Bryce Molder @66/1 is a good putter, which is a must in these shootouts.
Also, Chez Reavie and Brendon de Jonge for first round lead @ 33/1 and 40/1 - both are fast starters who make a lot of birdies.

In the links c'ship, the ones most likely are very short prices, so again I'll be holding fire for now.
The Top Irishman market looks interesting though. McIlroy, by his own admission, doesn't like links golf. McDowell and Harrington have been badly out of form for some time. So, there could be some value in the bigger prices.
I'll go for Damien McGrane @18/1 (two decent finishes in last 3 years)

Dyson is around evens to win his 2 ball with McDowell today and Manassero is around 8/11 to beat Soren Hansen. My 2 bets today.

Very keen on Jon Byrd in America this week. Won this event last year and has been there or thereabouts this season. Should be in the hunt on Sunday at the very least. The man is gifted with an iron.

Couple of e/w doubles for me:

    Rory (9/1) & Watney (9/1)

    Dyson (20/1) & Laird (14/1)

Also McGirt to make top 10 at 10/1 in the Shriners. He played well in the early stages of the playoffs and is overpriced me thinks :D

First time in a while i have not fancied someone for a bet, dont know exactly why but this week i dont even fancy a matchbet.Maybe something in running might appeal otherwise the bookies will be poorer.

Probably saved myself a few bob as 2 outsiders romped home. Its extra trickey this time of year.I am going to Vilamoura to watch the portugal masters on the 13th,as i have done for the past few years. Its always a great tournament and the victoria course is a good test so if anyone can put me on a winner this week it would help defray the cost.Only kidding though a winner would be welcome but the cheap fish, vodka and superboc makes the trip worth while and i always enjoy myself there.

oh i just love Portugal, where are you staying? if you're near Gale make sure to drop in to one of my fav restaurants,(not cheap though) it's called saudade, bit off the beaten track but worth it especially if you like your steak

Staying in Dom Pedro Golf its ok in the heart of vilamoura. The best 2 restaurants imo are O Vittorio (french style) and Pipa Rota (steak) which is beside it.Both are off the beaten track, from the marina go up the steps through the huge irish bar and walk a couple of hundred metres or else walk past Mc Donalds and swing to the left. There are another 8 or 10 decent eating places in that area inc a chinese and an indian. They are cheaper and better than those in the marina. The nineteenth on the Marina is where to go to watch the us golf and a few of the pros sometimes gather there and caddie Colin Byrne regularly holds court there.25 degrees and only A few thousand spectators means we can get real close to the action.
