samsung phone store in bangkok?

    as the title says....anyone know if theres a samsung store in bangkok that deals with mobile phones?

    Yes there is one in the MBK Shopping centre which is on the third or fourth floor, the entire floor is dedicated to mobile phones and you can buy almost anything for a phone there. Massive shopping mall that, cheap enough too by western standards.

    Panthip Plaza is the place to go for repairs/spare parts etc. If it can't be done there they'll know where it can be done. Ratchathewi Skytrain stop and jump on a motorbike/walk 10 mins. Cheapest place for electronics shopping too.

    The entire floor is almost all mobile phone related paraphernalia and they are really crazy about mobiles over there, like they might have the iPhone, HTC etc. paying maybe two to four months wages for a phone which would be like an Irish person spending say two or three grand on a phone... insane stuff then you have the customisation and it is like Ireland several years ago with customised fascias and ringtones etc.

    There is so many little kiosks and vendors be sure to shop around as the Samsung service maybe more expensive than an indy guy and if buying stuff be sure and haggle, I bought a mini tripod about 6" high for my camcorder for 250bt (€5.25) but the vendor wanted 600bt if I remember and agreed to drop the price when I bought something else then. Start your offer very low and start coming up and they will come down and generally you will both meet somewhere in the middle, don't worry about the language either they all have calculators so just key in your price etc.

    If you are travelling throughout Asia then the Sim Lim Square shopping centre in Singapore is several stories of nerd heaven dedicated to every electronic device imaginable and no clothes stores for the women to annoy you with, not as cheap for phone stuff as Bangkok though. Watch out for counterfeit merchandise in both places however!
