Good to see the reductions. At the same time, Wales/Scotland/Italy doesn't draw the same interest as England/France do.

One thing though, it's gonna provide the Scotland and Italy teams with big motivation that the IRFU don't fancy them as crowd pleasers! :D

Much better from the IRFU, but the fact that we are not playing France or England may be a big factor in these prices.

    EDIT: Damn

I understand restricted view. But restricted view premium

I might just be tempted (actually be able to afford) to go to a few of the matches next year :)

I wonder if Under age 6N tickets will be down too.

They had it in Croke Park, only it was sold as simply 'premium' to supporter's club members such as myself. Two years ago I coughed up 285 per package (3 matches x 4 seats) to end up in seats at the back of the premium section. If you stood up, you couldn't see half of the pitch, but those in front stood every time something big happened - net result was us having to put our heads over the shoulders of the people in front of us, half doubled over, in the hope of seeing the tries (we missed a couple of finishes).

In general, they really need to sort out the ticket categories. Year after year I've paid the same (through the supporters club) to sit in the corners, as others who get seats between the 22s.

I'll pay 100 euro to see a game against France or England, but I expect to be seated between the 22s for that, with prices lowering gradually. It's a little bit better than it was in Croke Park now, but it still doesn't go far enough.

The above is bull, in my opinion. When I go to get my Cat 1 tickets through the supporter's club you can be damned sure I'll be in 518, 519 or 520

I generally go for CAT 1 in south upper(513-516). The view is great and if you get near enough the front row you're surprisingly close to the pitch. And for most matches (especially HEC ones) they're cheaper!

I've pretty much sat everywhere in the stadium now, and I have to say I'll never spend money to be on the lower tier again. It's just not steep enough. Very hard to see players on the far side. It's silly that pretty much all the lower tier is CAT 1....

This is great news! The missus is from Italy and we always try to catch IRL-ITA matches with a few friends. The old system of having to buy tickets for multiple matches was idiotic! I was unable to get tickets for the 2010 IRL-ITA game in Croker because of this and ended up getting tickets through the Italian federation. Wasn't complaining though because the atmosphere among the travelling Italian supporters was brilliant.

Anyways, glad to see the big reductions in price too! Much more affordable...

positive step forward anyway with the pricing... they obviously listened to the feedback from the survey that they sent out....

Now, just getting hands on tickets if the problem :-)

Hi there, Looking for some advice; I want to buy two tickets to the match against wales in the Aviva as a present for someone. I'm not affiliated to any rugby club, and don't really want to join the irfu supporters club. Getmein - the ticketmaster affiliated website - are selling Cat 2 tickets for 137 euro each - more than double the face value. Is this my only option to buy a legit ticket? Is there any other way of getting them at a more reasonable price? Thanks so much for any advice offered.:)

Jesus that's disgraceful, Ticketmaster are some shower of greedy fcukers.
I'd say joining the Irish supporters club would be a good option.

I don't know how that getmein site is allowed to operate, it's basically touting except you know the tickets are genuine...

Anyway, tickets will be distributed through the clubs and through the supporters club, none will be released through public channels like ticketmaster so your options are limited. Given Wales' success at the RWC and Ireland's decent showing, there will be a lot of demand. You can always try places like donedeal or gumtree closer to the time, but it's a long shot.

Get the wellies out, start coaching the local under-9s team and hope for the best!
