Im looking for a laptop to use as a HTPC mostly for streaming video so there will be no need for a monitor.
There will be no gaming but id still like a decent graphics card. A hdmi port & wifi are the only other main essentials. Hard drive and RAM need not be too large on account of mainly useing it for streaming.
Is there anywhere you can buy these or does anyone on here make them to sell?.
Any general information or questions would be welcomed.

Can i ask why it has to be a laptop and not an actual HTPC?

Not sure what the special requirement here is? Wifi is standard, and pretty much any recent bog standard laptop will have a HDMI port, there is really no need for anything more powerful than decent integrated graphics for video streaming either.

Doesnt have to be a laptop but no real experience of htpc but heard htpc's arent great for live sports streaming from justintv and veetle etc.

Cant see why they would be worse than a laptop! PC's generally have more horsepower than a laptop

Just no monitor to keep the price down really as its going to be redundant anyway. I havent seen any laptops with hdmi port for less than €300?(I dont want to import from the uk if at all possible).

    Moved to the HTPC forum.

    Not a laptop related topic!
