Sandals for a wedding

Hi - I am looking for some nice dressy sandals (hopefully silver/dimante) to to wear for a wedding.

Today I tried on a fairly suitable pair in Aldo. The main problem, and one which I've noticed with other sandals also, is that the inner sole, which the foot rests on, is a silver, shiny synthetic material.

So, when I tried them on with bare feet, I noticed that my feet were sticking to them. Since I would intend wearing tights, I then tried them with pop-socks, and found that my feet were slipping around in them. Is there anything I can do to counteract this?? (eg. Special tights). Or is this just the way with such sandals? I'm more used to leather shoes/boots.

This query probably sounds really basic to all you fashionistas!! Unfortunately, being very particular about foot comfort, I really rarely wear fashion shoes, or higher heels. :o

Tights with open toed sandals would look kinda bad, no? You can buy grippy inserts to stop your foot slipping and to give more cushioning to the ball of your foot.

Thanks Acoshla. I just bought some "gel cushion" insoles, and they seem to help. :)

I'll have to try with and without tights, and see what is best - I would definitely wear the ones designed for sandals.

Spray hairspray on the feet of your tights, can sometimes help with the slipping.
