IBC tanks

I'm putting an IBC tank in at the my allotment and got a lead on one. It was used to store molasses. I guess this is a food-grade substance and the tank will be fine to use. Any thoughts? Would anyone know if it would be difficult to wash out?
Anyone used one on an allotment for gravity-fed drip irrigation?
    Thanks a lot!
