Indoor Aerial for Dublin 8

I live in Heuston South Quarter apartments in Kilmainham, Dublin 8. Just wondering if there is any sort of indoor aerial that would work here? Have UPC connection but don't think it is worth getting a subscription since I watch mainly DVDs etc.

Just looking to get RTE basically, on analogue or digital, not to concerned about anything else.

    Thanks!

Well I'm about 2 miles away as the crow flies in Dublin 12 and a Euro shop rabbits ears (not even fully extended ) is adequate

You could be 100 yards away and get a perfect signal but it means absolutely nothing. I'm on the southside and less than 6 kms from Three Rock but can't get a signal on an indoor aerial because there's a hill in the way. The OP is close to Heuston Station so there's a serious risk that he's blocked from all angles because he's at a low elevation.

OP, I think St. James Hospital and the hill it's sitting on is probably blocking your view of both Three Rock and Kippure. Unless you're on the top floor of your block I think you might have a problem picking up a signal with an indoor aerial.

Which is why I didn't mention using a fork in the back of the TV as in where I work since that doesn't work at my house

But given it would only cost the OP €2 to try that I would try that first .

Just for anyone else looking to try this, didn't work for me. Think there's too many buildings surrounding the apartment to get a good signal. Might work if you're on the top floor though.
