    Hi
I was clearing out the attic and have come accross some old items. I was wondering if there was a One stop shop to get them valued or do I need to go to different specialists? There's a collection of stuff. Books old vinyl records there is some old jugs candle holders etc
    Thanks for any replies

Sounds like you need to contact your local auctioneer or you could always post pics here.

Can't help you with iPhone info but if you let me know your general location I'll post details of the nearest suitable auctioneers. :)

Get some pics up here and we can tell you if there is anything of significance

Steps to getting an image up :

    (1) take digital photo
    (2) transfer photos from camera to your computer
    (3) remember where your image is saved on your PC
    (4) log-in to boards and hit 'post reply'
    (5) you will see attach.gif on the top row of your comment box
    (6) 'Browse' till you find your images (which were previously saved)
    (7) submit your post

Cheers wild dogger need to try doing that at work. I've only an iPhone so can't upload photos. One is a book Tom Sawyer by Samuel Clemens rather than Mark Twain. Printed in New York. No Date

Mark Twain is the popular pseudo-name adapted by Samuel Clemens :)

Dont get too excited yet - there must have been many, many and even more re-printed versions I would have thought .

I'd like to see a photo of the cover , but more importantley have a look at the first few pages and see if there is and publishers legend .

It might say " first published in ......" or something aalong those lines .

What else have you got ?

Unfortunately it's not that copy! Lot of old vinyl records. A wooden cross that opens to store candles. Few candle holder with jug. Don't think anything worth anything major in it. Think I'm catching the bug though. All this old stuff has me interested in what's out there. Where do you look for stuff? Car boot sales charity shops?
