Hi I need advice Pronto. I was sacked from my job for theft. I had a few meetings with my boss & admitted my guilt to him. Yesterday I received a phonecall from a member of The Gardai asking me to call to the station next Friday, they said it might be in my interest to contact a solicitor. My problem is I am unable to pay for a solicitor so I was hoping someone may be able to advice me what to do, I have never been in trouble with the law & Im at my wits end what to do & what to expect in the interview with the Guards. Please Please Help Me:confused::o

They will ask you about the accusations your former employer has made against you and let you give your side of the story. They will be neutral between you and your former employer. If you dont feel comfortable about a question, dont answer it. At the end they will decide wether or not they will charge you. Unless its for a vast theft accusation you wont be going to prison or anything and you will be allowed to go home after. It wont be like TV where you are held in a room with a 1 sided mirror and asked questions until you crack. Most Garda are nice.
