Not sure where to put this because the Touchpad thread is closed.

Have a question for those with FNAC voucher codes. Has anyone succesfully used someone elses FNAC voucher? I was given a voucher and its telling me that its not recognised. Just wondering if they are linked to specific accounts...

I remember a post in the Touchpad thread, someone said that it might be linked to the account it was issued to. Not sure if that is true or not.

Hmm. Well this is an unused voucher and its giving me a 'not recognised' error so looks like that is the case. Wonder is there any way around it.

I replied earlier, did you try the code on the samsung galaxy and if so were you logged in / out.

Obv way around it is to ask the donor to sterilise then sign over their once off fnac account.

The only way that was discussed was to change the details of the original a/c to yours, address, card details etc. I'm not sure how easy it would be.

If you try this I would be very interested to see how you get on as I have a voucher myself which I could give to someone.

Any decent bargains to be had with the voucher?

I tried it with the Xoom and I was logged in at this stage. I think you have to be logged in to get as far as the coupon page.

Hmm, suppose I could ask them to do this.

I tried it with the Xoom as well (got code from another user) but it wouldn't work for me either.

The Xoom is for sale in PC World this weekend only for €330 so there is only a tenner difference between fnac voucher price and delivery so you might as well get it here now.

I dont think its all branches though. Cant get through to Jervis and customer care say they know nothing about it. The customer care lady managed to get through to Navan but discount wasnt on there.

[edit] Jesus, PC World have to be one of the most frustrating companies to get in touch with. Its a chore to find their phone number and then they dont answer. Have rang all of their branches at least twice and none have answered yet.

Naas is definitely on sale as thats where I got mine and I read somewhere that Airside in Swords was also having the same sale.

Have you tried their customer interaction forum on boards?

It was mentioned by both myself and others in the last page or two of the FNAC thread that they were linked to accounts.
