power washing the engine

    need to get my engine washed as theres a leak somewhere and the mechanic said he cant tell where its coming from so need to get it cleaned. anyone know of any place in cork that does this???

    Just get some Autoglym machine degreaser, spray it on, agitate with a paintbrush and hose off, WD40 electrical connections first and stay away from the alternator, starter and battery etc.

    I'd contemplate going to a different mechanic too btw, the one you went to doesn't seem overly interested in your business.


    Failing that if you're not interested in doing it yourself washworld in Tramore Rd should be able to sort you out, DIY would be the preferred option IMO though.

    If you wanted a professional detailer to do it, I'd recommend www.detailer.ie

    If you're doing it yourself, I use Meguiars engine degreaser and engine dressing.
