    Hi.

Anyone know where I can find a good Land Rover mechanic in County Galway (or even Co. Roscommon - I live in North East Co. Galway)? I have a '94 LR Defender 90 300 TDi which is in need of a bit of TLC - needs new front wheel bearings and swivel pin housings & just don't have the time to do it myself.

    Thanks,

    Doogleplex.

Get the parts yourself first, those bearings are over 40 euro a piece from landrover belive it or not. The swivel housing kit I did'nt bother asking them how much. Try Paddocks or Crozier 4x4 on the net for a better price, just make absolutely sure to get the correct parts. Then most garages will do it for you its not a specialist job at all, a press (for the bearings) is the only tool they would have that a DIY mechanic would not.
I think Timken (probably spelt wrong) make the bearings you need dont waste your money on Britpart ones.
