Hi, i dont have dry skin normally, just occasionally get it arounf my nose and on my chin, which makes my makeup go dry and flakey looking-which isnt a good look! And as iv a christening to go to this weekend i need to know if anyone has any tips on how to sort this out...quickly! Or can reccomend a product, Thanks.

I dunno if you happen to have Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream? If so, just slap that on your dry bits overnight and it should sort 'em out. A cheaper alternative and one I personally couldn't live without is from the Botanics range in Boots and is Face Super Balm. It pretty much is a balm and I put it on my face whenever it's really dry before I go to sleep and in the morning, my make up does go on a lot smoother.

Otherwise, you could try using Vaseline maybe?!

Silcocks Base is brilliant and cheap as chips, most pharmacies stock it and it works really well. I have super dry skin (on both my face and body) and it doesn't clog up my skin (which can happen with some thick creams) but is rich enough to keep it from getting dry again. If my skin is really bad I apply it several times in the evening and then really slather it on before I go to bed, does the trick!

If the skin is flaking off use a gentle exfoliant and then moisturise with a rich product. Vichy has some good ones that aren't too expensive.

Try Bio-Oil. I have dry skin too and it's my Holy Grail product!! Sorts out dry skin overnight!! Just make sure to exfoliate first to get rid of any flaky bits :D
