    Hi folks.

Has anyone of you had any bad experiences with the small ones after these injections. Saoirse had hers yesterday and she has been very ratty since. We took her to another GP last night and she said that shes perfect.

She is in great form one minute and then out of nowhere she roars the house down, I have tried Calpol but she hates it...

    Any ideas or tips, Cheers..:)

Probably just a bit sore after them. Lots of cuddles and stuff if she doesn't take to the Calpol.

Great name by the way ;)

I got the idea of you actually while her self was expecting. I hope the pain wears away as I hate to see the poor thing like this because she is really placid normally..:)

In laws and nosey people saying oh you have a very cross baby there..:mad::mad:

Let them say what they want and just nod and smile, you know different :)

She'll be back to herself soon, wait til the first time she's actually sick, she'll break your heart then!

She actually vomitted last night when we got home after giving her Calpol. I felt so sorry for her as her facial expression was unreal.

Is it possible for her to be teething this early????. She is eating the fists off herself for the last few days..

Yep it's very possible thst she's started teething. I think my son started teething that early and at 8 months there's still no teeth! I got the Amber teething necklace 4 weeks ago and I'm constantly raving about it. We haven't used calpol since he started wearing it. I wish I'd gotten it sooner.

Give your little one lots of cuddles; those vaccinations can be quite tough on their little bodies. She's every right to be cranky.

I wonder how long does it take for the side effects of the injections to wear off. She is totally unconsolabe now, shes even roaring when I walk her around and that normally keeps her quiet...

Definitely possible that she is teething. I swear by the Nelsons Teetha Granules... some people say they don't work but both my girls love it and it calms them down completely... It's kinda hard to get into their little mouths though.

If she wont take calpol can you try a suppository like paralink, as the chemist as i think the baby has to be 4 months before you can use paralink.

My son was a bit cranky for about 2days after these. But when you think of it, a big huge needle is going right into their muscle, on both legs so if she is fine one mintue and screaming the next it could be because something touched off her leg and it hurt her. I had the hep b vaccine in my upper arm and like the 2month one the little ones get,it goes right into the muscle and im telling you it was very painful, even for a few days after it hurt when i stretched my arm certain ways. When he got his bcg i asked the doc doing it if it was true baby would be out of sorts for a few days ans he said absloutley not, but when he was getting the 2month one the nurse told me he could be cranky for a few days. Bear with her, she will be fine.

Yeah, awful with their poor little legs being so hard.

If it's any help the next set mightn't bother her at all.
