    Just a quick questions relating to the early 1980's does anyone rember the old kids water watch that you used to get in the local shops? they were a classy plastic construction & were water powered? :rolleyes:

    im sure they were around then too but yep there the ones anout 50p in the shop & filled with water every 3 hours to keep them working ;)

    Think I remember them, never had one, square yoke, lines or tubes on it

    Had a look around ebay recently, closest thing I could find was water powered clock

    Who remembers the radio watches that Texaco were giving away if you bought enough petrol/diesel way way back in the day, the headphones had orange pads must have been about 30 years ago, they looked a bit like this....

    ....Except I think they were Hira or Texet branded, never had one myself but it seemed to me that everyone else did.

    Can confirm I had all of these. Water watch just like that one with the yellow sponges, got it for Christmas 88 or 89.

    Got the radio watch probably the year before again for Christmas, but I can't ever remember being able to pick up a radio station with it.

    Got the Transformers watch for my 8th birthday in '87, and can still remember the pain when I broke one of the wings on it within a week. Had been on holidays, so didn't even get the joy of bringing it in to school to show off :p
