it takes green gas so i'm pretty sure the mag has an internal gas chamber that is filled with enough gas just to fire all the BBs that it holds then you need to refill again. more or less anyway.

also consider that gas (not CO2) can under perform in the colder weather in the winter months.

First, KWA... Great brand, good start. Thier glocks are some of the best on the market.

Gas... meh, in winter, full auto will result in the thing spraying gas, not bbs. Even in temperate conditions, it will have quite bad cool down with the full auto setting ( so probably roughly 1 mags worth of gas = one mags worth of bbs. However, use it on semi, in summer, 1-2 mags of bbs, for one fill, down to one in winter.

Don't be put off by the recent 'omg c02' fad, Green gas has been used happily in the winter for years, and is still used by a lot. The KWA stuff likes green, and runs just fine. The slides are metal, but light enough for the gas to shift. If I had to get a g18... I'd buy this one. So Its got my vote :)

i bought a TM glock 18c a few months ago. I have to say that performance wise, it is far superior to the KWA one. The TM one is an all ABS construction so it is easier on gas and has a much higher rate of fire than the KWA.

for the winter months, the ABS slide on the TM will prove more economical on gas too so i'd go with TM.

the KWA one is really good as well and lots of people that have them are very happy with them, but for me, TM all the way.

there are pro's and con's for both im sure....

mm, the tm is ok, but I far prefer the KWA/KSC construction methods... if you went for the ksc plastic slide variant, it would be as economical as the TM.

my friend has the ksc one and its a fuc#ing absolutely insane gun.
the rate of fire on it when its full auto isnt even funny and theres also a nice kick of it.

Buy an aeg as your first gun. You can get straight out on the airsoft field with an aeg. No hope of enjoying yourself with just a pistol.
Consider the cost of an aeg kit compared to a pistol, and a couple of mags and a holster.

the kwa glock 18c is a great bit of kit, the newer ones all come with metal slides. the metal slide versions have the same approx rate of fire as the plastic versions (around the 1100 RPM mark) and seem to be as efficient on the gas too. gas consumption is around the one fill of bb's to one fill of gas although the cold weather kills it if fired in auto mode.

    cheap long mags here.
