HTC sensation- this is my second phone and is usually used sim-free at home on wi fi.

Have 2g of data on meteor monthly, just wondering does using it with sim fitted as a sat nav use very much data?

I know its a bit of a how long is a piece of string question, but any advice welcome!

Use Google maps for navigation and you can pre cache map regions so you don't need to download the maps using your mobile data allowance.

After you search for a place you can use your WiFi to download all map data in a ten mile square around it. Use it all the time on my sensation, think there may be small and negligible data transfer over mobile data connection when out and starting to calculate route
