Federal Reserves launches 'Twist' stimulus initiative

Wall Street tumbled after the Federal Reserve launched its long-awaited Operation Twist scheme to help stimulate the flagging US economy.
The Fed will spend about $400bn buying back bonds maturing within three years and swapping this for longer-term debt.
Although it puts no new money into the economy, it helps keep long-term interest rates down and boosts mortgage lending and loans to businesses.
OK so the US FED has launched the "twist", another futile attempt to fix the economy.

What should the ECB call their "cunning plan"
