One pair of white SIDI Genius 5 Road Shoes for sale.

Purchased in April 2008, they were my first road shoes. Changed them as I bought a size 45 following the popular recommendation that SIDI shoes are sized small. I don't think they are, my usual size 44 would have fit much better. So, I bought a pair of Mavic shoes (which actually fit much worse, heel slippage!).

A really top shoe, I would buy SIDIs again over my Mavics (and probably will in a few months). They are nearly completely rebuildable, so expect to last many, many more miles.

    Asking price: €50

Delivery: No. Collection or meeting in and around Dublin city centre only.

Shoes have a white leather upper with a plastic sole. Closure mechanism is the traditional SIDI ratchet strap. SPD-SL and LOOK compatible.

As you can see, these have plenty of miles on them. There are a few scuffs along the toe area, some wear including a small tear (visible on left shoe) around the heel support. Also, the velcro straps have some of the closure mechanism missing, but they still work fine. I would describe this as usual wear and tear for a 4 year old cycling shoe, in terms of function they are still perfect. Suitable as a cheap entry into the clipless pedal world or as a winter shoe.

    €30.

Outta here in a few weeks, so last chance to grab these shoes and own a little slice of Dirk memorabilia before they end up gathering dust in a closet.

Might be interested. What size shoe do you wear (just as a comparison).

44 in everything really, although my Mavics are a funny 43 and a bit sizing. 44 Shimano fit perfectly.

    That's me out then, sorry.

Ok. Bear in mind these shoes were too big for me, they were my first cycling shoe and I bought into the mantra of "buy a size bigger for SIDI". Bullplop, they are a 45 regular. Cycling shoes should be a glove like fit, no room to grow into them.

Hmmm, I have 46 Shimano and have ordered the same in the Mavic. Maybe I should just try them. It might be Monday before I can get around to it though?

Yeah, no problem at all. My Shimano SPD shoes were a fairly tight fit, size 44. Mavics are totally weird, I think I ended up with a 43 2/3 after much trying on, and even now I reckon they are a tad too big on the bike. This is the best road shoe sizing advice I have got:
