Apk android file

    Hi guys
    Im not sure if im in the right place to post this but i have a apk. android file on my laptop and was wondering is there any way to convert it so you could use it on the laptop just like a app on a phone,Any help much appreciated.

    The only way to do it is to set up Android x86 as a virtual machine and then install the apk.

    Download the emulator and install it on that.

    Ive never seen anything run very well on that emulator

    Depends on the app, of course its limited but it solves what the OP wants to do.

    I managed to run the android through vmware but i have a apk file and want to add it to vmware and use the application but am not sure how to do that.

    No different to side-loading. Ensure you have turned on Unknown sources (Settings / applications). then download the apk or access it via a file manager and open it - you will be asked to install it.

    Im not sure what you mean by file manager im not used to android phones i want to test it out using vmware thinking of buying one for the apk to work do i need the astro file manager and if so how do i install it via vmware.thanks
