This might seem a little silly

Everyday I eat Uncle Ben's wholegrain rice

    Is this fattening?

Is wholegrain rice considered bad often?

Any info at all on wholegrain rice is appreciated!

    Context is everything.

How much are you eating, what are you eating it with, is it excluding anything else healthy from your diet?

Generally, I'm not a big believer in brown rice over white, it has it's advantages such as increased B vitamins but disadvantages in terms of antinutrients that can interfere with the absorption of calcium and magnesium.

I eat white rice but I get my b vits from liver and leafy green vegetables, so it's a judgement call.

I usually eat it with beans (for breakfast!), a whole pack, like 250g?

I have given up bread and pasta so I eat a lot of rice instead.

Baked beans in the sugary sauce? or the uncanned kind?

It's definitely a step up from bread and pasta.

Yeah, regular heinz ones, but the label does say 'reduced salt and sugar' :o

I'll give up the beans no bother for a better alternative! So what kind of beans should I be buying?

What's wrong with the heinz ones anyway? :)

You could have a japanese breakfast, with a poached egg in there.

My only objection to the canned beans is that they are fairly heavily processed. Canned beans such as kidney or broad beans would be a better choice.
