Players playing in purely progressive positions

Might be a bit of fun...

Seeing as there seems to be a lot of talk about players being tried out in new positions recently, I thought it'd be fun to make up a team using the WC squad, but no one is allowed to play in any of their normal positions.

    15. Sexton
    14. Buckley
    13. Murphy
    12. O'Brien
    11. Cronin
    10. McFadden
    9. Bowe
    1. D'Arcy
    2. Jennings
    3. Heaslip
    4. Ferris
    5. Leamy
    6. Healy
    7. O'Driscoll
    8. Trimble

Buckley at lock instead of Leamy, I think he could have done a good job there had he started playing rugby in that position. Boss on the wing.

    15. Bowe
    14. McFadden
    13. Trimble
    12. Sexton
    11. Kearney
    10. Wallace
    9. O'Driscoll
    8. Healy
    7. Best
    6. Ross
    5. Ferris
    4. Heaslip
    3. O'Brien
    2. Court
    1. Boss

    Is far more realistic.

Would Ross be a dynamic ball carrying 6?

Does switching Healy and Ross around count? :)

McFadden is handy on the kicking tee. For that reason I'd have to ask you to move him to hooker and have Jenning's be the team's playmaker.

In a somewhat more feasible idea, who covers what in "worst case scenarios" in our 30man squad?

    15. Kearney, Earls, Bowe, Wallace, McFadden, Sexton, Boss, Murray
    14. Bowe, Trimble, Earls,McFadden, Kearney, Sexton, Boss, D'Arcy
    13. BOD, D'Arcy, Earls, Bowe, Trimble, McFadden, Wallace.
    12. D'Arcy, Wallace, Sexton, Trimble, Bowe, BOD, SOB :D
    11. Bowe, Trimble, Earls,McFadden, Kearney, Sexton, Boss, D'Arcy
    10. Sexton, ROG, Wallace, BOD, D'Arcy, Kearney?
    9. Reddan, Boss, Murray,
    8. Heaslip, SOB, Leamy, Ferris, Cullen
    7. SOB, Ferris, Jennings, Leamy, Heaslip, Cronin, Best
    6. Ferris, SOB, Heaslip, Leamy, Ryan, Jennings, Cullen, POC, DOC
    5. POC, DOC, Ryan, Cullen, Heaslip, Ferris
    4. POC, DOC, Ryan, Cullen, Heaslip, Ferris
    3. Ross, Court
    2. Best, Cronin, Varley
    1. Healy, Court

I refuse to entertain the thought that Buckley should be used in any position in any emergency situation, and instead adopt the French "white flag" tactic if that ever came to pass.

Ross at 12 to get Ireland over the gain line with his barnstorming runs! :pac:

Sexton at 12 surely. Almost a probability at this stage

I think he did start off in the second row, in school anyway.

No, I'm back in college. Same thing I guess :D

The idea wasn't to be realistic or serious. More 'wouldn't it be gas to see X playing there'.

I'd stick Geordan Murphy in at tight head.

A 1, 2 ,3 of Boss, Reddan and Murray. Lets see any other front row get lower.

Jennings will never ever play second row. He's far too small, how's he going to bind with someone like Devin Toner and give a proper shove?

Boss must be the most versatile player in the squad, he seems to be a shoe-in in every fantasy XV.

    Really am ROFLMAO :D

I think Paddy Wallace would make a great...RALA ;) Best use of his "talents"

How about we just clone SOB and play them at 1-15? or clone the pack and ditch the backs?
