02 Ford Focus tappets question;

Have a 1.4 02 focus, serious rattle coming from the head of the engine also its taking alot of oil. Is this the tappets rattling and would/could this cause the car to consume oil? Its not blowing black smoke just a bit of grey when cold

Have a 1.4 02 focus, serious rattle coming from the head of the engine also its taking alot of oil. Is this the tappets rattling and would/could this cause the car to consume oil? Its not blowing black smoke just a bit of grey when cold
