I have always drank water throughout the day and also before and after I exercise.

Lately though its made me really bloated. I would drink about 4/5 glasses during the day and 500ml before and after I exercise

Am I overdoing it on the fluids? I didnt drink a lot today and I feel a lot better for it....

You'll get used to it. I'm drinking at least 8 litres a day and I feel good.

    8 Litres???

The recommended is 8 glasses, or around 2-2.5 litres per day!

    Weight-cutting for a fight :pac:

But why would you need 8 litres of water? That's a crazy amount, you'd be going to the bathroom every 20 minutes!

8 liters of water is far too much.

Are you drinking water/liquids in or around 45 mins of meals?
If so cut it out for 2 weeks and see how it goes.
IMO water should not bloat you.

So this thread has established that people have no idea what weight cutting is.

8L is fine for that purpose. For normal life, not so much.

That's the point. The body gets used to releasing a large amount of water frequently. Then when you cut down over a day or two, your body is still draining amd you drop about 3 or 4 kilos in 2 days. After weigh in, start drinking again to regain fluids. Unfortunately, it's only useful for quick drops in weight which can and will be put back on very quickly.

How long before somebody misconstrues this and starts telling people that drinking 8 litres a day causes your body to flush out 3-4 kilos of fat, buit you only do it occasionally.

So let me get this straight, if I drink 8L of water persay I'm guaranteed to lose 4 kg of fat and it'll increase my bench?!

    Thanks guys!

Which is why I said it will be put back on very quickly. But I'd hope that people have more sense. Even if they didn't, they wouldn't have the patience to go to toilet literally every 20 minutes.

Its a constant feeling rather than something that occurs after meals.
I cut down yesterday and feel way better today.
Im going to cut down my intake during the day and increase before I exercise and see how that goes.

Don't worry you were completely clear. As you your reason for drinking 8 litres, yet were still questioned.
