FAI Intermediate Cup 2011/12 1st Round Draw (Leinster Section)

Kilnamanagh v. Tolka Rovers, Ned Kelly Park
Firhouse Clover v. Bluebell Utd., Firhouse CC
Lucan Utd. v. TEK Utd., Arlie Heights
Tymon Celtic v. Sacred Hearts, Roadstone Social Club
    Garda v. Pegasus, Westmanstown
St. Joseph's Glasthule v. Drumcondra, St. Laurence's College
Whitehall Rangers v. Ballyouster Utd., Paddy Mahoney Park
    Phoenix v. Newtown Rangers, Scribblestown
Arklow Town v. Mount Merrion, Arklow amenities Centre
Lissadell Utd. v. St. Francis, Pearse Park, Crumlin
St. Joseph's Boys v. Beggsboro, Tivoli Terrace, Sallynoggin
Dublin Bus v. Killester Utd., Coldcut
Confey v. Portmarnock, Confey Park, Leixlip
Glenville v. Drogheda Town, Palmerstown Community School
CYM Terenure v. Verona, CYM Terenure Cricket Grounds
Templeogue Utd. v. Cherry Orchard, St. Mac Daras College
Parkvilla v. Celbridge Town, Claremont, Navan
Belgrove v. St. Jame's Gate, Whitehall
Broadford Rovers v. Malahide Utd., Broadford Park
Glebe North v. Dunboyne, Market Green

Ties for weekending Sunday 09th October, but a few ties will be played on the Friday or Saturday before.

    Byes into 2nd round:
Ballyfermot Utd., Bangor Celtic, Crumlin Utd., Edenderry Utd., Glenmore/Dundrum, Greystones FC, Leixlip Utd., Newbridge Town, Peamount/Moyle Park PP, Postal Utd., Rathcoole Boys, St. Mochtas, St. Pats CY FC, Skerries Town, UCD, Wayside Celtic.

Big news is the inclusion of Killester Utd. who have switched from Junior football at AUL to LSL. And parachuted straight into tier four of the LSL, which is Intermediate Level.
They have lost a few players but should expect to gain quality as they are expected to move up through the Divisions to challenge in the Senior Division in, let's say five years.

All Senior Div. ties Firhouse v. Bluebell Utd., Arklow Town v. Mount Merrion.

Third Round is National competion with Leinster, Munster and Ulster drawn together.
Teams qualifying for Fourth Round of Inter Cup are in the draw for the 1st and 2nd round of FAI Cup 2012.

(good luck to every club involved..... hope everyone wins)

Pats played Killester in some cup and took a replay to finish them, we underestimated them with an under strength side and they should have beaten us in their place. Very good team, thats where my money is going :D

Crumlin Utd have some firepower up front in Ger Rowe and Darren Forsyth who just signed for them, what is the rest of their squad like does anyone know?

Yeah bit of rivalry there .
Think Bangor play in Rathfarnham up near the nutgrove but they're originally from Crumlin .

This is a joke right? I;ve been reffing on the GAA Astro in UCD for 4 years now every saturday and never seen lights on that pitch and I remember reffing a final on that pitch last year and it went to penalties and was nearly impossible to do because it was too dark and there were no lights

I thought at first it was somewhere else on campus, but I understand there are lights there now.

This is the pitch that runs parallel to the road going out the clonskeagh entrance? theres the GAA astro, then a pitch that runs the other way, then the one I'm talking about? I've never seen lights there

Well I left out one game, well spotted.
It's important to a few people

    Douglas Hall v. Glasheen.

Do Ballyfermot play out on the Naas Rd or is that just their junior sides?

'near' is such a comparitive term.

LSL Ballfermot Utd. play at a nice venue at Coldcut, Cloverhill Road. North of the Red Cow intersection and south of Palmerstown.
    BERBA wrote: »

I didn't get a 2nd round result of such a big match but Glenmore Dundrum's 2nd round opponents Mount Merrion are drawn against Cherry Orchard in third round.
I'm going put two and two together and say that MM went through on penalties aet.
