Most will say either Darkys 10.2, CM7, Insanity (Based on CM7) or Surface.

To update to the Gingerbread versions you can use this. Linux available too. Haven't used it myself but I know others have.

    Cyanogenmod 7

    Insanity

    Darky 10.2

    Surface

XDA has most of the info needed. You need to read a lot!

    Hope most of this helps.

Hi lads, can anyone tell me how they got on with this?

Would I be right in saying Darky 10 looks the best?

    Thanks

There isn't a best as such. Darkys is a good starter rom. Which rom is best depends in what you want from it.

I'm currently using CM nightlys, but they do away with all the Samsung software which you might not like.

    Cheers,

Well basically I would like a ROM that gets rid of the junk that comes with the default ROM.

Also would hope for something that improves performance & functionality.

If there is any way that I could improve the camera with a new ROM, I'd also like that :)
