    hi
i can no longer access the bios when booting

its a dell core2duo and bios is dell inc 2.53 22/11/2007

a message used to pop-up 'entering setup' but now it keeps booting

only recent change was a usb webcam and a monitor

    i tried a different keyboard

any idea what the problem is thanks

Neither of those installs should affect the bios.

I'd try clearing the CMOS first, if that doesn't work, you could flash the bios. Google both options. Beware, flashing the bios can be tricky and you can make a balls of it.. so go through the instructions carefully.

Give it a Keyboard error, hold down a handfull of keys when booting and it should give you a keyboard error and enter the BIOS, then reset to default

tried that with 1 key but i dont think it worked

would i need to hold down a bunch of keys then?

To fill up keyboard buffer and cause stack overflow. This will give you BIOS keyboard error :)

When holding down the keys, did you hear a beeping?
